A little bit about myself, and the structure of my practice:
I have spent the last 12 years researching and lecturing about longevity and age management medicine.
One of the cornerstones of my practice is hormone replacement therapy, and I am passionate about the benefits of HRT particularly for women. (If your doctor still harbors reservations about HRT for women, I encourage you to share these two lectures I gave on the topic in October 2019.) In the last several years, research and treatment opportunities have exploded in the fields of integrative and anti-aging medicine.
I’ve enjoyed having beautiful offices in the heart of Manhattan, first at Evolved Science, and more recently as Chief Medical Officer of Tribeca Wellness Collective. However, I realized during COVID that my practice had attracted patients from all over the country (and world), and it became apparent that nearly all of my services are able to be done remotely. Therefore, I decided to leave my physical office behind, and continue my years-long relationships with my patients via tele-health. I still do some home visits for patients who would like stem cell therapy, but most of my practice is via video consult.
Looking at health from a variety of perspectives is important. I have the pleasure of working with a fantastic Naturopathic physician, Dr. Mark Iwanicki, which allows us to make sure all aspects of your health are addressed. For those so inclined, I am aligned with some Psychedelic Medicine practitioners as well, to facilitate healing of emotional trauma or deeper exploration of your past and present.
We can review your lab results remotely, and medications, peptides and supplements can all be shipped to your home.
From 2018 to 2020, prior to taking my practice “virtual,” my New York City office practice was described in these publications:
(Please note that in 2020, like many people, I relocated to south Florida.)
I am also Chief Medical Officer of Curos Health. In that capacity, I created a platform that correlates genetic, epigenetic and bloodwork data into one comprehensive report, to help my patients “put the pieces together.” If you have done genetic testing with 23andMe.com or with Ancestry.com, I encourage you to take a look at the Nutri-TherapyTM platform at this link.
Prior to 2010, I spent 15 years as an Emergency Department physician, practicing in Trauma Centers and Children’s Hospitals in New York and Austin. Over time, my long-standing interest in Integrative medicine led me to leave the E.R. and launch my private practice, to focus on prevention rather than Emergency care. I remain grateful for the incredible experiences I had as an Emergency Physician, among the highlights of which were the disaster relief efforts during Hurricane Katrina and the Indian Ocean tsunami. (You can read an essay I wrote after the 2004 tsunami here.)
